For those interested in exploring the best parts of the region one of the best ways is via sea kayak. Enjoy-Crete operates a kayak base in the beach of Ilingas, 2km away from Chora Sfakion. They run daily trips all year round (from November to April on request) while they are using high quality composite sea kayaks.

They offer among others day trips to Loutro village, Agia Roumeli and Fragokastello. Overnight trips to Sougia & Palaiochora are also possible upon request.

All trips are guided; rental is possible only on certified paddlers. Those that are not they will have to demonstrate an Eskimo roll.
